Sadly the level of discipline required for such a miracle
will get your kids taken off you these days. It's political correctness gone mad - the occasional cigarette burn and weekly flogging never did me any harm.

My dad was away at sea most of the time
but all it took was my mum to say "I'll tell your dad" and we'd be good. We didn't figure that he couldn't do anything from where he was.

The threat of the Captain would keep anyone in line.
I used to get smacked, but only when I'd done something really naughty. My sister and I had a lot of discipline when we were younger, some stuff I spose people would get outraged at now (the smacking) but we've grown up perfectly fine, normal, well behaved people.



Well, she has anyway.
