I'm a fast fucking reader
and Moby Dick took me an age. Don't think I've ever read anything with more digression.

^ this
I found it boring, and I almost never find books boring

I've got no idea of the plot
apart from Ahab being nuts and chasing the white whale.

I've not read the Magus, but I read a joke where the book-repair people took all the parts out for cleaning, forgot what order they went in and decided it didn't matter.

you could abandon Moby Dick
if you're not enjoying it
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:08, Reply)
but i am enjoying it!

or you could start K-Pax as well
and leave Moby Dick in your bag/backpack and read it when you have time to spare in queues and things. Might take a year but it would keep you interested

it is too big to carry around really.
i mostly read it while doing a poo.

That's all good =D I really think you'll get a lot out of that book in so many ways, I deffo did.
The book can wait till you're ready.
