I hate BT. They've merged my broadband and phoneline together so now feel that they can take an extra £15 a month INCASE I use my phone a bit more.
I'd requested they not be merged so that this sort of fuck up didn't occur and was assured that they would not be sent together, now I've been charged silly money which means that my insurance payment didn't come out because it's put me over my overdraft limit and I have to wait 5 days for the money to come back to me.

What's made you angry enough to post about it online ONLINE recently?
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:39, 75 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
They don't do a discount for bundling the packages?
I have cable TV, phone and DSL with my provider, and seperately it would come to around $130 a month, but as it's all bundled I pay $80 a month.
Sounds like BT are still the money grabbing bastards they always were?
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:48, Reply)
In the UK I pay £22 a month for tv, phone & 10mb broadband
/ac and surprisingly accurate
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:50, Reply)
Who are you with? I pay £30 for unlimited broadband and basic phone. I don't get the extra tv channels because I live on a main road where there's no cable

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:54, Reply)
Virgin
originally it was only broadband for around that price, but they keep throwing extras at me to keep me as a customer.

*edit* mind you, in Spain I'm paying €64 a month for 6mb broadband and a phone line, which is a bit poo.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:57, Reply)
I was going to go with them, but they weren't able to offer faster broadband or cheaper than I get now. I need it unlimited too.
Edit: I thought you were in Ireland
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:59, Reply)
64 € a month?!
Who the fuck are you with?

I've got 20Mb broadband plus phone line (and free national calls) for 35 a month at home.

I'd guess you're with Telefonica/Movistar, as thats what I have in the office, and it's damned expensive
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:01, Reply)
Yup, Telefonica/Movistar
they started off charging me over €80 a month 'til I complained. The offer I signed up for was meant to be €44 a month so I'm still getting charged €20 extra for some reason I can't fathom.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:05, Reply)
taxesssssssssssssssss?
give me liberty or give me death?
I don't know?
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:07, Reply)
I'll just have some cake thanks

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:08, Reply)
I haven't any
I've got some dinner rolls though
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:09, Reply)
fucking ridiculous really
in the office we get charged about 80 € minimum a month, which includes the call waiting/diversion services, answerphone, some kinda mobile calls package, and reduced price international calls i believe
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:11, Reply)
Sounds like Virgin
I pay about a tenner a month for 10mb broadband, I have no house phone.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:58, Reply)
I pay about £40 for virgin tv, phone and broadband
mainly so I don't have to give any money to those BT cunts.

My virgin tv service is shit at the moment though. picture and sound freezes every couple of minutes for 10 seconds or so. apparently it should be sorted by 11 tonight. that remains to be seen.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:55, Reply)
I wish I could get cable :(

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 17:59, Reply)
when it works right it is great
I've even come around to HD since getting it a few months back. Generally speaking, I've never had a problem with cable suppliers either and I've been using NTL, Telewest and Virgin for years.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:00, Reply)

able ock
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:00, Reply)
I'm with virgin

premium cable, mind, with hbo, showtime and starz plus on demand for those channels

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:11, Reply)
Who's that with?
We don't get an option for cable in my city, it's Time Warner Cable only, and I can't get DirectTV because of the location of my apartment - there's no line of sight for the dish.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:15, Reply)
Comcast
it's not really a bargain I don't think, I think it used to be 240 and they reduced it when he complained, and he took off skinamax and TMC
I really miss skinamax :(
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:23, Reply)
Nothing, I've not been angry in a while
upset, yes, but not angry.

My housemate is forcing us to get Sky next year- the ammount he watches will probably balance out my internet use, it'll be fine and dandy.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:20, Reply)
Sky is such a rip off you pay AND have adverts!

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:28, Reply)
I'm secretly in love with Gonz and Psychochomp
It hasn't made me angry enough to post about it online, but I am masturbating FURIOUSLY over photos of them on Flikr
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:37, Reply)
Not friends with them on Facebook?

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:47, Reply)
Naw, they don't like me
Which is a massive shame, because I'd really like to attend a bash and seduce the two of them.

I'd take them home with me, crack out the babysham and get a bit of shoala ama on my old record player. One thing would eventually lead to another, and before they knew it they'd be spit-roasting me over the coffee table. Of course, they'd switch ends at half time, and it would be rude for me not to allow them to spill their hot, thick jism all over my face as the finale
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 18:55, Reply)
I've no idea what you look like
but the mental image of those two in a gay threesome, no matter what the other person was like, makes me feel sick.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 19:02, Reply)
Heehee, that's mean. They're both handsome chaps
As for me, I'm skinny, hairy and lug-eared. I usually find it's best to tell people to imagine a 9 year old female russian gymnast who has been tarred and rolled around a barbershop floor, and that's me. Fucking sexy
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 19:11, Reply)
Oh one is a cutie
but I can't and don't want to imagine him in a sexual situation, ever.

And I couldn't keep a straight face imagining the other inflagrante.

Phwoar. Well, at least I've just got hair like Boris Becker's pubes :D
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 19:24, Reply)
top marks for using inflagrante

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:02, Reply)
Wha' whu'? I'm not _that_ huddious that I shouldn't be allowed in a sexual situation again, and neither is chompy.

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:06, Reply)
I'm pretty sure
you're the one she called a cutie :)
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:14, Reply)
I donno, but sad times, i didn't think I was treat ugly, and neither is chompy.

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:26, Reply)
No, you're adorable
like a puppy.

Not ugly like a dog.
I'm mean to Chompy as we expect it.

I'm about to cook some kind of chinese beef and cashew nut type thing with noodles.

what sauce is the only question that remains...
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:03, Reply)
oh man i love a bit of cashew
and that beef you get, sweet sticky crunchy beef thingy.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:04, Reply)
the stuff that's kind of like the texture of popcorn but made of beef?
that stuff is good

time to get cooking
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:05, Reply)
Crispy shredded beef, you can get chicken done the same way too which doesn't get the chewy bits.

so that i can start the kpax trilogy, trouble is one of the books i am reading is (still) moby dick and i am a slow reader :(
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:03, Reply)
I'm a fast fucking reader
and Moby Dick took me an age. Don't think I've ever read anything with more digression.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:06, Reply)
i've barely started.
i've already got to the gay love bit though. nice.

I found it boring, and I almost never find books boring
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:10, Reply)
I've got no idea of the plot
apart from Ahab being nuts and chasing the white whale.

I've not read the Magus, but I read a joke where the book-repair people took all the parts out for cleaning, forgot what order they went in and decided it didn't matter.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:32, Reply)
you could abandon Moby Dick
if you're not enjoying it
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:08, Reply)
but i am enjoying it!

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:09, Reply)
or you could start K-Pax as well
and leave Moby Dick in your bag/backpack and read it when you have time to spare in queues and things. Might take a year but it would keep you interested
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:12, Reply)
it is too big to carry around really.
i mostly read it while doing a poo.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:22, Reply)
That's all good =D I really think you'll get a lot out of that book in so many ways, I deffo did.
The book can wait till you're ready.

Angry enough to post online
nothing's made me angry really. I don't get angry. I did rant at Lampito last night about a bitchy friend though
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:13, Reply)
R__ teased me for being paranoid last night :(
Though he apparently now has officially accepted his place here.

It's odd. One of the main reasons I wanted to go to Oxbridge is now in my own city. Irony.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:33, Reply)
It's strange the way things work out sometimes
you don't know how things could turn out. You're both older, perhaps stuff can be put in the past
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:35, Reply)
Maybe not with the way he was acting
He can be incredibly immature and I overthink everything. We didn't work well as a couple. Plus I'll always like him a lot more than he does me.

Not going to stop me trying to tap that.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:36, Reply)
Or maybe you can be friends :)
not as dire as it sounds. Sometimes things work out
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:51, Reply)
if you pay by direct debit, you can get the money back IMMEDIATELY

(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:35, Reply)
That's just it though. I do pay by direct debit and he's still insisting it'll take 5 days after one of their numpties calls me in 48 hours time.
I argued this fact with 'kevin', but he didn't agree with me.

IPTV
I'm with Tiscali TV (now owned and made better by Talk Talk). I have an 8MB pipe with 4MB dedicated to IPTV and programs and films on demand. I have an entertainment package that includes paramount Comedy, Sky1-3 and a ton of stuff you can't get on sky such as HBO on demand, Nat Geo on Demand, Warner Bros on demand etc.

i'd recommend it if you can cope with the slow process for enabling it all (it took 3 weeks 2 years ago) and this may have improved incredibly since the takeover by Talk Talk.

Its good value, includes a land line and the Sky+ like box can be pimped to include USB discs or the internal disc swapped out to as big as you like.

You'll need to check them out for the latest special offers.

Got to say it rocks compared to Sky, Virgin etc. Can't understand why its not marketed quite so well anywhere...
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 20:37, Reply)
I should point out here
that VM has both HBO and WB in the TV Choice On Demand section. I'm not sure about Nat Geo but can check tomorrow if anyone is actually interested.

I Ranted online last night about my new 50Meg VM cable
only getting at best 19.5Meg. It looks like someone has clicked the wrong check box and provisioned us onto the 20Meg tier instead
