I'm listening to Vipros's Squirrel Thang.
available here and it's got me working. And off OT. Can't be bad.

Edit - Question is buried in replies.

glad you are enjoying it

I yam. This is going in the car for those loooong Cornwall drives.
Oooh - finally a question - what's the longest you've all driven in one hit? Time or distance?

I've done Helston/Gatwick/Helston in one day. That's about 500 miles at a guess.

drove to the far northwest of scotland a couple of months back to get the ferry to the outer hebrides
although, we went from exeter to birmingham one night, and then birmingham to ullapool the next day, and me and my mrs shared the driving.

Brum to Ullapool is a fair run. North of the border the roads seem interminable.
Should I move this Q. to opening post?
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:08, Reply)
it is. wasn't too bad though. my car is comfy and efficient and my mrs is good company.
may as well.

It's a little too heavy on the old samplers and synthesisers for my tastes
but each to their own, I guess
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 10:59, Reply)
that's kind of what we were going for
because the stuff we do with the band is so basic and raw, we chucked loads of effects and synth etc. on this stuff
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:04, Reply)
Ah, fair enough
I just found the church bells on the second part a little too cliched (I can't do accents on my phone), and I've hated synth from birth

I'd probably like your bands normal stuff more, and will check it out when I get home
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:10, Reply)
that's understandable
the whole thing is very much tongue-in-cheek. we get really stoned and record whatever comes to mind and then go "you know what this needs? Thunder!"
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:12, Reply)
I cannot possibly condone this kind of irresponsible behaviour
However, today I am wearing shin-length shorts with so many zips and pockets that it takes me forever to find my keys.

it's outrageous I know
the new recordings from my band are on our myspace site. I'll be interested to see what you think.

I tend to always keep keys etc. in the same pocket, and if I happen to put them in a different pocket they are as good as lost. even if I only have 4 pockets on me at the time.

There should be a B3ta hall of fame for this thread
It's probably the least interesting conversation I've ever had, and by my standards, that's really saying something
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:26, Reply)
I've definitely had less interesting ones
you'd be appalled by how dull some people are

I already am, V
It's the only thing that keeps me going
(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:32, Reply)
at least you've got something

(, Fri 25 Jun 2010, 11:35, Reply)
You're not wrong there.
That's what comes of me thinking 'Gawd, OT, is slow today. I'll post a link to Vipross's music the first thing that comes to mind and see what kicks off.'
Mind you, it's good stuff. Good enough for me.
Is this a reborn Bert, or are you just more fun when you think no-one else is reading?
