I remember hearing about The Interneton Blue Peter and how it was a wild idea that was way in the future. They even said "they hope that one day you will be able to chat face to face with someone in Australia instantly, like people used to talk about hoverboards and hotels on the moon.
They probably had no idea that ChatRoulette would happen.
