Make a sad child happy - give Darth the excuse to prance around London in a pink tutu AND for every £10 raised I will stay of OT for a day. Reach the target and I’ll be gone for over a month!
Also you can feel all Vippy for giving a child the education it needs.

my family are in Malta for the next five weeks, and I'm buggering off to Rome before England, and not going to Ireland at all. So it'll arrive at an empty house. Not sure what to do

I'd forgotten how much I liked them. jerry Cantrell is a legend, and I rate their new singer as well.

I can't find out how or why he left at the mo, but knowing him he probably saw someone else he has haemorrhoided himself onto recently.
EDIT: Security removed him. Get in!
(, Fri 9 Jul 2010, 10:32, Reply)
- does this mean security will be hanging round for 'free coffee' now?
(Unless you're in the other deli today).
(, Fri 9 Jul 2010, 10:51, Reply)
Leaving him to harass other campus catering staff. Hoorah!
Good job I mentioned it though because it turns out he's been freaking a lot of women out with his creepy following and social ineptitude.
I think he's a B3tan.

I gave them £15 a few years ago, and they still haven't sorted themselves out, I bet they spent their money on BMWs and swimming pools. That's the trouble with these african based charities, they're not accountable to anyone, they're all so currupt. Now, I didn't give them that £15 expecting to see it back, but it would have been nice to see it go towards something useful for what the charity wants, like a hospital wing or a school class room, but it's a bit of a punch in the guts that out of that £15, there is probably a £50 "admin fee" taken out of it, which'll only go towards playstation 360s for the fat-cats who own the chairty.

So much that I think before donating based on many factors - how well I know the person, what they're doing, who the charity is.
I've given to DiT and PJM in the past year after they announce on b3ta. Tell us once and leave it at that. No one likes spam.

If you've done any fundraising you'll know it's easy to over-reach.
(, Fri 9 Jul 2010, 10:49, Reply)
plus, I'm fucking skint at the moment.
at least Darth isn't a runner normally. It fucks me off when people who run every day for enjoyment decide that they should be sponsored for a run.
I shaved my beard off a few years back and raised a couple of hundred quid for charity. It caused me great distress. I want to see equal effort in other people's charity shenanigans.
(, Fri 9 Jul 2010, 10:50, Reply)
- and good for you, matey.

Claiming to do it in exchange for Vietnamese schoolgirls is duplicitous. (Probably were schoolboys anyway.)

I won't have some 80s reject dictate to me where my money goes, just because he's doing a fun run

and I'm happy to apologise to DJTP and Bert if my chugging has gotten annoying. I get quite involved whenever we come up with some silly-arse way to raise money for charity and don't know where the line is. As Vipros says, I'm not in the habit of running (or wasn't, at all, six months ago, I have done some training for this) and am sure as hell not in the habit of jogging through London in a tutu, whatever you might have heard to the contrary, I'm not planning to ask people to give me money to run at any point in the future. Next charity thing will be something I've never done before. Maybe I'll deliberately start an argument for no discernable reason, or just MTFU and talk back to someone in real life.
I am nonetheless extremely grateful to Larry for his attempts to raise money on our behalf however, and for the idea of the tutu which has more than doubled our sponsorship total since I decided to use it.

I think standard procedure dictates that you keep the link as your sig, that way anyone who is interested will donate.

That's what Devil in Tights did, the madcap wife murderer. (No apology necessary, I'm not upset or owt just sounding off).
