So much that I think before donating based on many factors - how well I know the person, what they're doing, who the charity is.
I've given to DiT and PJM in the past year after they announce on b3ta. Tell us once and leave it at that. No one likes spam.

If you've done any fundraising you'll know it's easy to over-reach.

plus, I'm fucking skint at the moment.
at least Darth isn't a runner normally. It fucks me off when people who run every day for enjoyment decide that they should be sponsored for a run.
I shaved my beard off a few years back and raised a couple of hundred quid for charity. It caused me great distress. I want to see equal effort in other people's charity shenanigans.

Keep that in reserve for when you hit 40. Shave beard - et voila, 30 again.

I'm going to be that guy with a long pointy beard, big mad hair and a waistcoat.

Claiming to do it in exchange for Vietnamese schoolgirls is duplicitous. (Probably were schoolboys anyway.)

I won't have some 80s reject dictate to me where my money goes, just because he's doing a fun run

And the comment being "Fuck it, £30.01 to stop them coming here? Worth every penny".

I'd only have myself to argue with

and I'm happy to apologise to DJTP and Bert if my chugging has gotten annoying. I get quite involved whenever we come up with some silly-arse way to raise money for charity and don't know where the line is. As Vipros says, I'm not in the habit of running (or wasn't, at all, six months ago, I have done some training for this) and am sure as hell not in the habit of jogging through London in a tutu, whatever you might have heard to the contrary, I'm not planning to ask people to give me money to run at any point in the future. Next charity thing will be something I've never done before. Maybe I'll deliberately start an argument for no discernable reason, or just MTFU and talk back to someone in real life.
I am nonetheless extremely grateful to Larry for his attempts to raise money on our behalf however, and for the idea of the tutu which has more than doubled our sponsorship total since I decided to use it.

I think standard procedure dictates that you keep the link as your sig, that way anyone who is interested will donate.

That's what Devil in Tights did, the madcap wife murderer. (No apology necessary, I'm not upset or owt just sounding off).

- but you still don't want to cough up just to get Darth off your back?

Several B3tans have kindly contributed, am happy to let it go now to be honest
