An absolutely awesome game! It's like having control over a film and I was totally engrossed by it
What games have you played recently (or in the past) that you just couldn't put down and then wanted to play all over again once you'd finished?

I should start:
what's the weather forecast for milton keynes look like tonight?
What did I have with cheese in my baquette for lunch?
What's the opposite of woman?

God of War 3 is awesome, and I love portal, portal 2 is the game I'm most looking forward to at the moment, I really hope the PS3 version allows for you to play using a keyboard/mouse.

I should get back into it.

But FF7 still has unlimited playability for me!

Someone bought it for my birthday and Wiggy played it when he was 'working from home' and got past me so I got annoyed and fed his character loads of pies and gave him a pink mohawk. That learned him.

I did it the same way on 1 & 2. Played through at least 3 times. First time normal (as in, do whatever I fancy), second time be extra nice to everyone, third time be as evil as possible.
Went as a woman on Fable 2, am currently slaughtering any village I come to.

I'm still not sure whether I'm happy or not about that

really fucking awesome
hopefully though, it will have more than one decent level for the single player game
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:04, Reply)
I think it will be shit. The shooting will be all wonky and they will have no bighead mode.

There was a new James Bond, first one in my lifetime (I think), and it wasn't cheesy (at the time).
I got a '64 last year, got all my fave games for it (Silicon Valley, Goldeneye, Zelda, [that one where you're a truck and have to smash things]), but none of them really 'do' it for me any more.

playability is still what it's about, which is why things like Secret of Monkey Island are better than all of today's games.

I do agree that some games stand the test of time. Like Crash Bandicoot for PS1

There isn't a single game on a Nintendo machine with a real 'wow' factor graphics-wise, but they have some good games. I ended up flogging my Wii stuff for a PS3 though, because I found I hadn't used it in a year, I just didn't get any enjoyment out of it, I was hoping for a decent Mario Party style game, but they were all to gimicky.

especially when you're playing with another person and not just against the game. The Redident Evil's on Wii were quite fun, though graphics whise the Wii fails. It's really a console for little kids and women, and I suppose there's a market for that, so why not.

Also I will put in Super Street Fighter 4 for a burn between shooting baddies in the face.

They're the only ones that I know how to play, really.

It's for that reason that I take longer on on the bog than I probably should, it's addictive
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:12, Reply)
ok, not technically a game but soooooo much fun

also, I've just started re-playing X-Com Apocalypse, for the first time in many years.
Captain Bob Cheesemonkey and his team of merry alien-blasting ne'er-do-wells ride once again.

totally downloading it tonight, I can complete it on superhuman, or at least used to be able to.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:18, Reply)
but still one of the best, and nerdiest, games of all time.
EDIT oh, and in case you were wondering, I downloaded it from 'Steam', which actually isn't a website for gays.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:20, Reply)
And is there any comparison between the two or are they completely different games?
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:15, Reply)
I swear that game was on the back of the box when I got my 360 on Launch Day, they've spent yonks on it.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:18, Reply)
I'm not really interested in it, looks a bit borring to be honest, but pretty nether-the-less.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:23, Reply)
Resident evil 4. That was ok. I'm generally shit at them though, I got banned off my friend's PS2 I was that poor at Fifa.
Oh, and I played a bit of COD, but I was shite. And I rock at Burnout revenge, but only cos it's the point of the game to crash into things.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:17, Reply)
you have good taste but if you only thought it was ok you're shit.
(, Mon 12 Jul 2010, 15:21, Reply)
But I wasn't given a choice.
