My mother is due back in a couple of weeks from an extended trip abroad.

I had a start like that today, but after 2 weeks with students and months of boring job, I couldn't care less, so when this guy came and said that he needed another 30min to do his presentation, because the PCs weren't ready yet, I said: no my prob, you could have done it yesterday, we need to be finished at 10 sharp.

Of course, I imagine you can't go around your work saying no my prob, but I'm glad I can do it.
