I work with someone who tells jokes about allkinds of things
Disabled jokes, verging-on-racist jokes, filthy jokes, sexist jokes.

Now he has a kid with Down's any jokes about that are suddenly out of order. He had a big moralistic rant on Facebook about Frankie Boyle's Down's comments saying how hurtful it was yadda yadda.
Poeple didn't have Down's kids before he did? Jokes about it were ok until this happened? It's still ok to tell other disabled jokes? Someone out there has a kid with no legs, how come he hasn't stopped that? I felt like having a go but it would have been wrong of me.

yeah that annoyed me at my old place of work
A woman there had a Downs kid and she got annoyed at me for calling the new office junior a 'tard' but she used to laugh at all the other offensive jokes we made.

For me, there are very few things I don't joke about.
Some, because there just aren't any jokes. Some because it just doesn't feel right to, but I will never complain about anyone making these jokes.

How about you Rootz, do you have any particular hang ups?
