I think most of their others are boring or at least overrated. I think I was in the right mood the first time I saw The Big Lebowski and I just found it funnier every time I viewed it again, always noticing more subtle humour.

Exactly this! If ever I recommend The Big Lebowski I say, "Watch it once and you'll think it's an alright film at best. It's in the repeat viewings where it raises itself beyond all other films." I think most fanboys forget how ordinary they found it to begin with so going, "OMG, this will change your life, it's like totally ROFL-COPTER-LOLLING-AHAHAH-WAAAARGARBL..." is not productive.
