haven't seen Inception yet
and currently I'm useless at walking. Slightly disturbed by the doctor's reaction to me today
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:43, 2 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
did he flinch?

(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:45, Reply)
no
he told me he'd pray for me. Which was nice but disturbing

Woah
My ex had a senior nurse say that she'd be able to recover from her crippling arthritis if she turned to Jesus. She really wanted to complain, but was too shocked by it all.

that's not so good
was the prognosis not good then?
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:52, Reply)
that's the funny thing
I just went in there to get a prescription for my standard meds, not for a diagnosis or anything. He asked me to explain why he should be prescribing vast quantities of pain meds to a 'young girl' so I explained the illness/residual pain and he told me to stay strong and he'd pray for me

I didn't mind :)
my whole family is Catholic, and he's a Maltese doctor in an extremely Catholic country.

I did bloody mind that my meds are 'hospital only' in Malta, and there are no alternatives
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:58, Reply)
did he sort you out with a prescription though?
that's pretty odd. god has no place in medicine.
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:57, Reply)
see above
meds are 'hospital only' here though he did write me a note for the hospital, it's about one and a half hours away on a bus
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:59, Reply)
ah, still in Malta
fair enough

What did you do?
I'm thinking of buying those new shoes that make you walk like if you were stupid but are supposed to be very good for you.
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:48, Reply)
Clown shoes?

(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:51, Reply)
How would clown shoes be good for you?
You'd be partially transformed into a BEING FROM NIGHTMARES!
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:52, Reply)
They give you happy feet.

(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:54, Reply)
MBTs I think they're called
I fell over on a night out and my foot came out of my shoe (high heels with ankle strap, which meant it bent a lot and is now extremely sore.

But I wasn't at the doctor for that, just for a refill prescription
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 14:53, Reply)
Yes, those are the ones
I've read a lot of reviews, and they're all good, but still don't know.

Sorry about your foot, I hope it gets better.
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 15:04, Reply)
Thanks :)
my mother and my father both own MBTs. They like them a lot and think they work, but I found them quite heavy myself to walk in
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 15:06, Reply)
Well, that's all what I needed
someone from real life (more or less) to tell me they're good. I'm going to buy them now.
