I've happily eaten in restaurants by myself, even happy to drink in the pub by myself when I arrive before my friends
I've also been on holiday all by myself. It was good, but not speaking Croatian, a whole week without a proper conversation got a little odd.

I also travelled alone all the way to some godforsaken town outside Brussels to see Hooverphonic in concert. (Definitely worth it though.)

My bro is a strange one
He fucked off to Canada for two weeks on his tod. When he came back I asked him if he'd made any friends or had weird chats with any randoms. He just said, 'Nope.' I would go a little crazy without some form of human contact.

I don't think I craved human contact, although I did remember all the instances where I had short interactions with people who spoke English, or who were flattered by my ability to use a phrasebook.

but being a girl I don't think it's a good idea.
I considered Florence, but I couldn't be arsed with being treated like a puttana at the hotel bar.
