we have everything online though
i only use the files when i have an original document requirement.

considering i have about 250 live litigation cases, though, if this weren't the case your idea would be a bloody good one!

ahhh digital shit
we keep getting offered that but the senior partner recently downgraded his Word 2010 to Word 2003 because he 'didn't like the new one', so you can guess how well stuff like digital files goes down.

my previous firm had digital dictation
it was horrendous. i hated it and just did all my own typing as i am pretty quick but my supervising partner was a real two-finger kind of guy. this is how he sent out a letter to the other side wherein it said "leaky shoes" instead of "legal issues" throughout.

We have to use digital dictation
but we tried a free trial of the voice recognition and it was ridiculous. One file note where the solicitor had said "BB attempted to make the client aware of..." it turned it into "BB attempted to rape the client".
