I don't really do violenceI threaten it, quite frequently, but it's been a long time since I've actually hauled off and lamped someone.
I once overheard a beautiful quip at a fresher's bash - some emo fringed Jarvis Cocker-alike was loudly holding forth about some bollocks when he said 'Oh, but I'm a lover, not a fighter.'
In the hush that followed this enormous piece of prattery, some Geordie bloke on the next table leaned over and said 'aye, 'n you're a pretentious twat an' all.'
I bought him a drink.
