I ordered a small bag for a wedding about 2 weeks ago, got an email yesterday saying my order had been cancelled as the bag has sold out, then I got another email 5 minutes later thanking me for ordering the bag and saying it has been dispatched... now I don't know what to believe. :(

you'll get the bag and the refund.
With a bit of bad luck... you'll spend 4 months complaining on the phone until they give you the money back.

Although knowing my recent luck it'll be the latter!

He ordered a watch for me for my birthday, they emailed and said that they didn't have it a would he like an alternative.
The thing was that they had already sent out the original watch!
So I go two and he only paid for one. Hurrah.

Double-talkers.
I didn't get my Some Like it Hot on DVD.
Play.com had better re-send.

Yeah I'm alright thank you lovely, had some dramas this morning so I'm at home at the moment, fell down the escalator at my tube station like a great big spanner!
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 12:48, Reply)
I fell on my back and cut my elbow and legs, then I winded myself and passed out like the trooper I am! One of the guys in the tube was clearly really scared I would sue or something so he called an ambulance. I got checked out (hey babah) to make sure I hadn't clonked my head and spine and then they brought me home. Ooooh dramas.

I would have done a one-knee drop and just got a spazzy graze but still fainted.

It was pretty impressive, I might ask them if they have it on camera for fun. It'll probably be on YouTube by the end of the week! Do'h!

I meant DVD but thought Betamax was funnier and would annoy him.
Now I have to call it off as he might batter me or something.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 13:35, Reply)
It wouldn't surprise me if anyone on here only kept betamax.
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 13:38, Reply)
Do you remember the Betamax aisle and the VHS aisle in the video rental shop?

I tried to think of the changes I hate most, and the changes to Marks & Spencer immediately leapt to mind.

Other films I haven't seen include:
Jaws
Top Gun
ET
(, Tue 10 Aug 2010, 13:06, Reply)
I think I've probably seen Top Gun and definitely ET. But there are lots of famous films I've never seen.
The Empire Strikes Back, for one. I've seen the original Star Wars and I think I saw Return of the Jedi once, but I was never very interested in them.

How can I repeat funny lines from the films if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about.
For example:
We're going to need a bigger boat.

A t-shirt I bought off eBay a couple months back, where I got a refund because it didn't turn up, was at the sorting office today, my housemate just text me to say she's picked it up for me. I paid in cash and the bloke was dicking me about massively so I threatened to go round his house and get the t-shirt myself (you can sound hard over the internet) and he gave me a twenty quid refund when I only paid fifteen. I do feel quite bad now as he did send it after all, but fuck him, he was a knobhead and he reported me to eBay for threatening him. Shouldn't have messed me around for so long then. Free t-shirt and five quid on top will do nicely.

but he ordered it medium, which he then had to cancel before ordering the small one. They charged him once but sent both so me and my friend are now in the Clever Girl club.

was changed at the beginning of the year. I made one of the service charge payments to the old company when I should have paid the new one. The new one called me to complain, I said sorry, changed the direct debit for the next months and they said they'd talk with the old company to get the last month payment from them.
Yesterday I recieved a cheque for the money I paid that month. I don't know why they're giving it to me, but ey, I'm not going to complain!
