why the tarantula?

the tarantula is my housemate's, it's venom is at the same level as a bee sting
the corn snakes couldn't hurt a mouse at this stage, and when fully grown could possibly make me bleed but not much else, and the boa is possibly the most laid back and docile creature i've ever encountered - it quite simply does not give a shit.

the snakes sound cool, but the tarantula is making me shudder from the thought. And we've got some pretty hideous spiders here.

i wouldn't have the tarantula as a pet myself,
they're a bit too pissy for my liking, it's interesting to watch them as they catch and eat locusts though
