Even the thick kids could swim.
(Granted, my school didn't have its own pool, but it was a short coach trip to the Dolphin leisure centre).

Who would deny their child the chance to learn? Or even discourage them from learning.

I find it quite weird
that people would risk their children drown rather than give them lessons

To quote that BBC story
>In focus groups for the study, Prof Irwin said many black parents who could not swim evinced sentiments like: "My children are never going to learn to swim because I'm scared they would drown."<

Some people are too stupid to have kids.

it's bizarre
my mother can't swim, but she made sure that all her children could

What didn't your mum learn at the same time as her kids?

(, Fri 3 Sep 2010, 15:09, Reply)
she literally can't
she's tried loads of times, got proper lessons and so on but just can't do it

some people just literally can't swim
it's odd.
