damn you for posting when I was just about toso I shall use your thread, anyway:
Can anyone recommend/tell me something useful to help buy a new monitor. Since I do photography and stuff it needs to be pretty good at reproducing colours. Because I am stingy it needs to be fairly reasonably priced

Something reasonably bigAnd something bright. My 19" second monitor is ok for looking at my photos on, but a 22" would probably be better, if it was higher resolution anyway. Mine runs at 1440x900. Also, if you can get one that swivels so you can looks at portrait shots properly it would be pretty useful.

this sounds like good adviceI don't understand widescreen, portrait would be better. Who makes them then?
