All the new bike brochures seem to be obssessed with this, it's the new buzzword used to mean "colour scheme". FFS.

Not all of us run red lights you know...
...on a related subject, I was cycling over London Bridge the other day when a chap in a silver SLK pulled up right next to me, wound down his window and yelled "nice bike" before giving me a thumbs up and driving off.

That was unexpected, I was anticipating a bout of road rage and fisticuffs.

I like to think he was complimentary on account of my impeccable road manners.

that has reminded me of an incident on Saturday night
was walking home from the pub where we'd just played a gig. There were a few of us, most carrying guitars.

A guy came out of the house on the other side of the road and shouted "where are you going with the music?"
I replied "we've just played a gig, now we're going home"
Guy: "how was it?"
Me: "it was alright"
Guy: "YES!" *massive pumping of the fist at the sky*

That's the kind of enthusiasm I want to see.

...although I occasionally ride a black Specialized Enduro.

EDIT: I felt all righteous the other morning for reporting a bus driver to the police for knocking a guy off of his bicycle while he was in the cycle lane, and just driving off.

Also: I go over London Bridge on my bike all the time!
