I just think the soles seem to be fairly non-existant
But that's probably because I usually wear sturdy-as-hell outdoor shoes.

yeah that's true,
but I'm used to thin soled shoes on all my stillettoes. It makes walking on those bumpy bits at zebra crossings really painful.

I remember standing on a stone one day in them
And thinking I'd stood on a nail or something. These days they only get worn for drumming.
