No chance
It's "You'll Never Walk Alone" done in gothic style writing, I'd have it in two line across the top of my back.

oh man
I'm going to mock you if you get this
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 14:32, Reply)
The fact that this would bother me, is the exact reason I've not got it
It's getting less tempting though. I do really want a tattoo, but I can't just get one off the cuff, I have to plan it in advance.

EDIT: And I spend far too long wondering whether I'll like it when I'm 40, etc

This is an LFC thing isn't it
I'd let you off, I have greater tolerance than most for "You'll Never Walk Alone". Took on an unusual resonance for me having heard it sung very passionately by Liverpool fans at the FA Cup Semi-final in 1989.

The one at Hillsborough.

Aye, it is
There was an incredible tribute done in italy, a match was stopped after 6 minutes play for a minutes silence, and half the stadium ended up singing it, even though most won't even speak English.

Yeah I heard about that
A while ago I was interviewed by Radio Nottingham on the 20th anniversary of the disaster, they told me about it and some tributes in Brazil as well. I got a bit emotional talking about it on the phone and when I listened back to it on iPlayer my voice went embarrassingly high and squeaky

Not the best tere
Unless I'm misunderstanding you, are you saying you were there?
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 14:57, Reply)
Yep
Not the best day's football I've ever had. Nor the most pleasant trip to Sheffield. In fact it ranks as something of an all-time low in pretty much any category you can think of.

Obviously I wasn't cheating death at the time, I was at the opposite end with the rest of the Forest fans

Christ, not good.
Even then, can't have been nice at all
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Funnily enough it wasn't as bad as you'd expect at the time
I was only 10 and had no real idea what was happening. I remember after leaving the ground it sort of hit me that I'd just seen a fuckload of people dying on a football pitch. THAT was rubbish.
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 15:17, Reply)
The irony is if you get that, you will often be walking alone.

(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 14:34, Reply)
You'll never walk AGAIN
if you get this done and I catch up with you.

There was a guy on holiday who had the Leeds club shield tattooed to his back
with the words WHITE TIL I DIE above it. I didn't know Leeds played in white so I just assumed he was a massive racist. And an idiot.
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 14:41, Reply)
You were probably right.

(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 14:44, Reply)
yeah I thought I might be.
But it's a silly way to show allegiance to your race, because of course you're going to be the same colour until you die. Unless you get reverse-Michael Jackson disease. Or jaundice I suppose.

Leeds' second colour is yellow
The favour the "Teeth in varying stages of decay" look
(, Wed 29 Sep 2010, 15:07, Reply)
Likely both.

Saw a guy one with "NORWICH" in Gothic script across his lower back
and "JASON", in the same, across his shoulders. Am guessing that was his son's name, but he looked like such a twat that I wanted to grab a permanent marker and scribble "Hi, my name is" above the top one and "if lost please return to..." between the two
