How was yours?

It was pretty good
I got to drive my new car all the way down to my sisters and then we drank a lot of cider and this morning we had bacon and then we came home but now i'm in the office scanning in photos and cropping them for my dads birthday present and it's 6.30 and I think I'd better go home soon or the wife will get cross.

Yeah she'll have that rolling pin out
I went and rawked out until the wee small hours with our boyfriend.
It was ace.

Awwww man, I haven't rocked out until the wee small hours with him for AGES!
I miss him.

Three floors of RAWK*
We were a big old drunken sweaty mess.
He seems excited about seeing you soon too.

*One floor of rawk, one floor of indie/rock/anthems and one floor of anything that makes you dance

We took my mum and dad to the local pub last night because we thought there was a band doing 80's covers.
Turns out it was indie/rock and they were crap. My dad tried to get me drunk on double vodkas.

I used to get into dreadful drunken states with my dad,
but we've become more sensible these days.

I'd go to Reflex if it played decent 80s stuff but its a hole.

I've never really been very drunk with my step dad.
We usually are only out together on work do's and I'm in charge of paying so I have to stay sober and with it.

The reason I'd get so drunk with my dad was that he pays
So he'd just keep going the bar and I'd just keep going "Ooh, ta!" and downing another.
Now, as djtp witnessed on Saturday, i have the sense to say "Just a shandy please, Dad." or "I'm moving onto halves now."
Years ago it would have been "DOUBLE JIM BEAM ON THE ROCKS OLD MAN!"

I discovered on Saturday morning that I'm too old
The Friday pub cheering up worked, but seven or eight pints now wipes me out. I was extremely tiddly :S

I can't do it very often anymore
I don't mind a couple down the pub, it's fun.
But going into town is tedious. Last night was saying hello to an old friend(The Krazyhouse) and blowing off the cobwebs though.

I only had a few last night
Need to save the pennies for both London and my Durham-based Lady Cousins are in Leeds next weekend for the middle one's 30th. My mum's side are a bit chavvy so fuck knows where we'll end up.
(, Sun 10 Oct 2010, 18:53, Reply)
My dad's side are the chavviest
But my mum's side are hardly aristocracy, so it's always interesting to see where we end up.

There hasn't been a full scale brawl at a family do for a while
This is slightly encouraging, but I think we'll end up firmly ensconsed in a Yates' though sadly.

I was getting my groove on big style at Fab last night.
Almost cleared the dancefloor during 'Superstition' - much fun!
(, Sun 10 Oct 2010, 18:44, Reply)
We had a lil bop to Superstition last night
But then went and found MOAR RAWK.

I miss our Fab.
(, Sun 10 Oct 2010, 18:48, Reply)
There was MUCH RAWK as well which was nice
And some indie-schmindy but mainly classic stuff so I could live with that. I love Fab :)
