I was in the White Cross last evening, enjoying the dying embers of Summer.
Also enjoying the confusion engendered in the tourists by a good high tide that means you get flooded into the pub and have to stay for a couple more pints, all the while explaining the difference between "Tides" and "Rainfall" to bemused septics.
