the early Discworld stuff is poor compared to the later stuff. Night Watch is probably the best one.

The Hogfather is one of my favourites
but my absolute favourite is Nation, it's not a discworld novel, it's a novel about a girl getting washed up on a desert island in a storm and trying to adapt to their customs, it's great.
