Bad start to the day!
Walked in the house to find a massacred blackbird. Feathers falling to the floor and blood sparodically on the carpet. The joys if cats! Only Monday did I manage to save and release a tiny mouse after being given it by the cat! :( Why can't he just bring me flowers?

hamsters never bring in dead things

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 21:57, Reply)
sometimes they kill other hamsters tho

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 21:58, Reply)
this is true
one of mine mauled one of the others. They were both OK in the end, though is was pretty close :(

My friend's sister managed to kill her hamster
By squeezing it too hard. It's eyes popped out, and she screamed and cried.

ewww my cousin would pick their tails off, then the smell of blood caused an epic battle to hamster death

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:02, Reply)
why do people always have nasty hamster death stories
they make me do a sadface :(
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:03, Reply)
I once knew someone
who claimed to have accidentally burst a guinea-pig
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:05, Reply)

imagine a bigger sadface right here
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:06, Reply)
The concept is disgusting
but the phrasing is making me laugh a tiny bit. I think it's the word burst
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:08, Reply)
my friends mum once said if you want to make a guinea pigs eyes pop out you just pull it's tail

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:07, Reply)
my grandpa used to say that
too
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:07, Reply)
Why pull their tails off?! :|

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:04, Reply)
who knows, she was like 4 years old

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:04, Reply)
Ohhh that explains it. I imagined a teenager.

I have my two Roborovski dwarves.. they're better than cats
(Im only looking after these terrors)
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:01, Reply)
Oh! I used to have two of those, they are mad
I called them Neutrino (because he was smaller and quicker) and Quark (because he was unpredictable)
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:03, Reply)
I love those names. Mine are Henri and Picasso. Because one has a strange ear and the other is an impressionist :)
And I like art.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:05, Reply)
aww sweet
picasso was a cubist, though. Is one of them square?
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:12, Reply)
Henri (Matisse) was an impressionist. and ... I've just realised it was Van Gogh that cut his ear off not Picasso... SHIIIIT :-(

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:15, Reply)
yeah, but picasso sometimes drew ears all funny
perhaps that can be an excuse
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:18, Reply)
Of course that's what I meant,
(Thanks) :P
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:20, Reply)
'Cause flowers are a bit shit?
Or because picking them is difficult without opposable thumbs?
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 21:58, Reply)
They're much easier to clean up and means much less crying from me. I cried for half an hour about the mouse, and he was alive!!
I'm such a baby :(
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:02, Reply)
That is a bit baby-ish
Don't you cry at the dead flowers?
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:05, Reply)
I had this image of the cat just finding it and eating it.
Flowers don't groom themselves and shiver in my hands. The mouse did :) Then I had to let it go and possible get eaten :(
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:07, Reply)
you should feel better to know that even if you got him out of your house he probably died later anyway
it's the circle of life, simba
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 22:06, Reply)
Don't mention the Lion King it'll start me off all over again.
