Sorry to hear that.
I hate it when that happens. I hope it wasn't too cold either.

No, it wasn't too cold
It was just about an hour late. Which has, in turn, put the mockers on me going to the pub for last orders.

Get over it and move on.
There'll be other better curries.
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:03, Reply)
I am over it.
I've had 2 bottles of wine.
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:05, Reply)
Woohoo!

I'm going to have a few beers now
And maybe a nice mug of hot chocolate before bed.

It's a cracking plan in my mind.

I have a nice mug of hot chocolate
And I'm thinking I should really wash up the not-quite empty, almost identical mug of tea from this morning before I end up picking up the wrong one...

You're playing a dangerous game there.
Consider that a warning.
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:14, Reply)
Booze and then hot chocolate?
Ew!
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
Annoying.
Just drink at home then!
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:03, Reply)
I'm ahead of you.
I'm quite oiled already.

I'm listening to the Carnival of the Animals
It's surprising how much I remember :D
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:07, Reply)
I must confess I'm not familar with Carnival of the Animals.

man, I used to love that
they played a bit of it on 6music the other day, it made me happy
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:17, Reply)
I love Prokofiev in general

(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:18, Reply)
Find it on Spotify.
It's excellent. I love Fossiles as when I was younger I wanted to be a percussionist, and I like the clacky sound. And as it references Danse Macabre it reminds me of my bezzie mate who can sing it incredibly well.

This is the only vocal version I can find at short notice. It's not as good as his version in my opinion. Although his voice cracks a couple of times, his voice is very smooth and lovely.

I haven't for Spotify on this laptop
But I found a version on YouTube.

I do know it!
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:52, Reply)
I didn't realise it was Danse Macabre for ages
I heard it and thought it was referenced in Fossiles... I like the poem it's sung to.
(, Sat 16 Oct 2010, 23:55, Reply)
Err... Me neither?
(This is probably far too highbrow for me).

Ask me a easier question.

Would you rather lick a razor or paper cut your glans?

(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:02, Reply)
I'd lick a razor.
Probably.

I'm sure I've enough dexterity in my tongue to avoid being scarred for life.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:05, Reply)
I hate paper cuts
and I hate razors. Urrgghghhhhgh
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:06, Reply)
There appears to be a new thread.
I'll go for a smoke and think as to a similar dilemma I can ask you.
