Do you need extra winding up, or are you ready to go?

(, Tue 19 Oct 2010, 9:14, Reply)
Well I don't hate any of you guys yet
my anger is directed towards Acuvue, so it would need some serious winding.

However, I might just cry instead.

The contact lens people?
No wonder you feel like crying.
(, Tue 19 Oct 2010, 9:22, Reply)
yes
I think they're causing my headaches and were the reason behind the 3 day migraine last month. One of my eyes is compulsively crying randomly, it has a sad.

If I'm right though it means I don't have to give up caffeine which is full of maximum win.

Did you change your prescription?
I find this leads to headaches when I change specs.

No, it's the lenses themselves.
About a year ago my eyes suddenly started stinging so much I could barely open them so I spoke to the optician and they said if I kept the lenses in longer than the 2 weeks then they start to deteriorate and that was the problem. It happened a couple of times again after that so I just thought it was my fault for keeping them in too long, but then last month I had only been wearing a new pair for a few days when it happened again and it was so bad that it caused a 3 day migraine. I've only opened this pair on Friday and one of my eyes is stinging like mad and I've had a cracking headache all weekend. Not a happy Kitty.

just got fed up with the pain of contact lenses!

I'm too scared to get laser eye surgery
I'm worried I'll be the 0.0001% or whatever whose eyes melt.

it is frightening
but 10 years later mine are fine, and although they have slipped a bit, i am now minus one instead of minus five, which was practically blind!

the consultation is free, maybe try that??

There's an ultralase office two doors down from me
I should consider it. Wiggy offered to pay for it as well because I said I didn't want to go somewhere that someone like me could afford (if that makes sense). I think it might be because he doesn't like me in glasses though.
