my friend and i met a group of guys in grenada back in july who were staying at our hotel on a stag do. i got on really well with one of them, bit of an arrogant banker, but overall not at all unsexy. i was admittedly tempted - moonlight walks back from a beach bar along the caribbean could make neil kinnock tempting, frankly - but i did turn him down. he made me feel really guilty about leading him on. well, for about 5 mins anyway.

completely randomly just found out through a hitherto unsuspected mutual friend that he had a gf all along and has just got engaged.

unexpected news, but at least the residual guilt about unintentionally being a cocktease and the worry about failing to back the right horse has resolved into pure relief! his poor gf.
