When I bought my present flat
it took every penny I owned. I had a sleeping bag, two floor cushions and a TV. No fridge, no kettle, no freezer.

But I had two decks, a mixer and several thousand records, and no ex (no, not THAT one). It was fucking GREAT.

I had two camping chairs
My bed, and a DVD boxed set of Rambo films.

In retrospect, I'd have probably bought some furniture first.

Daughter said she read a book where this girl and her mum moved into a council house
and they had nothing. She said they survived my sitting on bean bags, sleeping in sleeping bags and eating tins of beans cooked by candles. I smiled and nodded while something inside screamed "Noooooooooooooo!"
