good news
I'm debating my evening. Can either go to fireworks but probably have to listen to the blather of a friend I haven't seen in a bit go on about her perfect new boyfriend and why haven't I got one yet.

Or I could go to Faure's Requiem by myself and simply enjoy the music and peace
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:26, Reply)
I would go with the second one myself.
I love a good Requiem.
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:27, Reply)
As do I
but it might be a bit strange to turn up by myself
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:32, Reply)
hello ladies
i am still ill and sulking massively about being too sick for the army wedding, gaaaaaaaaah.

which puts me in a bad enough mood to say go to the requiem and be peaceful and soothed!
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:32, Reply)
I'm sorry to hear about your illness.
Bummer!
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:36, Reply)

I'll take a different view to the girls Amberl.
Go to the fireworks, you might be the perfect 'guy'*

*See what I did there? Did you? Did you see?
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:34, Reply)
I resent the implication
that I dress like a makeshift figure in tramps clothes
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:35, Reply)
You know that wasn't what I was saying.
Stop being prickly Amberl!
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:36, Reply)
Actually
I met one new guy last night. Sadly at the time I had just stuffed myself with pizza, drank two diet cokes and was lying curled up on the MCR couch watching The Wire with a greatcoat draped over me
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:42, Reply)
what is this Wire
that everyone goes on about??
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:43, Reply)
I've neve watched it either.
I'm working on the basis that if a load of geeks on the Internet like it, it's bound to be bent.
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:45, Reply)
geeks on the internet?
you mean... b3tans?
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:46, Reply)
it's an American TV series
sadly finished now. Set in Baltimore and examining the police force and other factions of the city. Each season has a different focus for example season 1 was the street/drug dealers, season 4 was the schools etc.

Sadly if half the number of people who claimed to have watched it, had actually watched it it would have had better viewing figures
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:46, Reply)
maybe i should check it out
i have nearly finished lovely noel's "black books"
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:47, Reply)
It's definitely worth the watch
Black Books is amazing as well :)
(, Sat 6 Nov 2010, 18:48, Reply)
yes it has made me laugh a lot
i have bought him a nice present to send back with them, but i did not put enough thought into how fragile it is, so will prob have to get work to courier it!!!
