Much as I love waterproof trouser chats of a Monday morn,
that thread was faltering slightly and was making me lose the will to live.

Who do you feel deserves a knighthood?

I'm saying fat-tongued irritant Jamie Oliver, much as I hate him. I've suggested this before but not even Peter Noone seems to have listened.

I actually quite like Jamie Oliver
I like how he cooks and his attitude to it. He has also done some good.

The day that Bono gets knighted (and he almost certainly will) I'm going to go to the celebrations and lob rotten tomatoes full of excrement at him.

Surely pelting him with potatoes would be more apt?

it would take longer to hollow them out
and fill them with turd

But the racistlolz that would ensue would make it a labour of love.
They'd hurt more as they smashed into his stupid little face, too.

good point
also, I could start now and keep them in the freezer until it is time.

Or stud them with nails?

Bowie turned his Knighthood down
but I think Raoul Moat should be awarded a posthumourous Knighthood for his services to shooting people and the testing of tazer guns.

good
Bowie doesn't deserve a knighthood.

I don't think Paul McCuntney did either

I quite like the Rolling Stones, but I don't think Jagger deserves to be a "Sir"
While at uni, the father one of one of my housemates was Knighted.

OMG! One of mine too!

Wow, we can both bask in their reflected glory

I quite like Jamie Oliver
In defiance of all received wisdom.

I reckon jade goody should get a knighthood. National treasure innit?
(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 10:04, Reply)
It's what she would have wanted,

I quite like him as well
although if I watch his program, his voice annoys me so much that I have to change it before it finishes. Other than that though, he seems nice.

I respect what Jamie Oliver has done
But I do hate him. I liked his early stuff, the Naked Chef was pretty good. He's the only chef I've ever seen cook a bacon, sausage, mushroom and steak sandwich.
(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 10:08, Reply)

and now I'm drooling slightly.
(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 10:12, Reply)
It's the only thing I remember from the series
He cooked it for builders. He fried them all off in a griddle, spread mustard(of some sort) on a baguette, stuck all the food on there, then emptied all the juices from the pan over it.

Fuck, now I'm drooling too.

loving his current series
It's actually made me go out and buy myself a blender
(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 10:18, Reply)
I cooked the pasta thing he did on that
it was fucking lovely

I saw Sir Stirling Moss on the television at the weekend. He should be given another knighthood.

(, Mon 8 Nov 2010, 10:13, Reply)
Oh and Peter Noone for sevices to internet message boards.
