i suppose,
but then everyone could gamble and go nuts and they'd all be rich and then you wouldn't be rich by comparison, and then nobody would be rich and there would be some kind of mad hyperinflation and golly it would be a right old mess.

no no
you'd have a very tightly drafted sale and purchase agreement with overage provisions to protect you in the event that-

fuck it. i'd go back in time when the queen was hawt, take pictures of her in the shower, then come back and flog them to "playboy". is that better?
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:24, Reply)
i'm not sure how drafted sale and purchase agreements would go down
with people through literally every part of history.
what i am saying is that once you share your time travel machine,
whatever you get the person you shared it with to sign,
that shit is gonna go viral very fucking quickly and there ain't nothing you can do about it.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:26, Reply)
Unless rather than selling it
you controlled the trips people took- sold them the trip and went back with them in order to regulate it
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:27, Reply)
now we're getting somewhere,
you would have to charge a huge amount though, the overheads would be HUGE what with the need for absolute secrecy and security and the possibility of your clients being eaten by dinosaurs.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:29, Reply)
Plus the whole danger of timetravel
you could do a word of mouth thing. Choose the people you approach and swear them to absolute secrecy. Also sign an accepting the risk thing. You wouldn't need many people to make quite a lot of money on
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:33, Reply)
i don't think my word of mouth would reach
anyone with enough money to cover the overheads.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:33, Reply)
You'd just introduce yourself to rich people
with artifacts you'd already acquired. I reckon Richard Branson would be well up for time travel
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:43, Reply)
maybe the trick is to let anybody travel there
but charge them a fortune to come home again.

my brother the physics guru tells me that forward time travel is theoretically possible but backwards time travel will never be.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:30, Reply)
forwards time travel is obviously possible since we are all doing it already.

(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:31, Reply)
feckin logic

(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:35, Reply)
also, the theory of relativity would suggest that of course forward time travel is possible
again, feckin logic
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:38, Reply)
that theory may be what he was talking about
i tend to tune out when he raves about football or science.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:40, Reply)
why tune out from science?
football fair enough, it is only a game, but science? reality? life? everything? that's a bit silly!
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:47, Reply)
when it's your younger brother
lecturing you, it's time to tune out. my brain goes shopping for high heels and pink stuff when he gets going.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 1:02, Reply)
"Math is hard! Let's go shopping!"
