Brief interlude there
While I tried to find the mouse that one of the cats has brought in.

I now have a mouse in the house. Ace.

Not Marmite.

how many cats/dogs do you have?

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:01, Reply)
Two permanent cats
Two peripatetic dogs. They're owned jointly between me and my sister and live in either of our houses (a mile apart) depending on who is going to be walking them.

They are satisfied with this arrangement.

Do they realise they get spoilt?
What with two bithdays and christmases?
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:07, Reply)
No
Most days are Christmas for dogs.

The only days that aren't have fireworks in them. Mr Brown hates fireworks.

that's a great way to have them
i'd love a dog, but when you work/party the hours i do, it's impossible. this would work for me.

if i had a sister.

or a dog.

hmmmmm.

My cat got killed
then i verbally attacked a dyslexic for no real reason

shame and grief, a bad combination

How is your daughter?
You said she'd be upset.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:03, Reply)

A can of Pal

Let the grief subside
Then gradually reconsider.

Think of the years of happiness and companionship, not the brief period of loss.

I have to restrain myself from rescuing every distressed cat I hear about. Two is enough, and they get on very well.

He was only a year and a half
poor wee guy, out on the road all night, frozen solid.

:(
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:20, Reply)
This happens with cats
I can't make you feel like a better cat owner but maybe see how the other one gets on, eh?

She might turn out to be a bit more road-savvy then maybe you'll feel better.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:26, Reply)
This eventually was one of the major factors against getting cats
Our daughter wore us down

Inevitability is always a sledgehammer
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:28, Reply)
How busy is the road?
And is there another door?
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:30, Reply)
Busy, and they only go out the back door, but could easily walk round the front
Even quiet roads are dangerous......ach, its happened, and i can't/won't keep the other cat in. it wouldn't be fair
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:35, Reply)
My sympathies
Dead pets are grim.

Dead pets with associated children must be grimmer.
