yeah we do actually - my house has silver birches on one side - and they look beautiful..
I'm hoping to see some good leaf colour while I"m over there, even though I know it's not likely.

most of it has been blown off
but it's been looking pretty special

Get any photos of the nice leaves?

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:35, Reply)
no
well, I took a couple of the view from my window which includes some nice colour trees. A couple of them with my 1959 Halina camera I got for £1 in a car boot sale

I bet it has. But I'm hoping to see snow and frosts.
I live too near the coast to see frost very often, and I've never seen snow that I can remember.

woah!
Swansea has frost, snow and the sea. I've seen snow on the beach here
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:37, Reply)
yes but you also have different currents in the oceans around you.
which causes different weather patterns.

i have many oceans around me

Ray Milland?
He may have been an island.

Sadly for you
The leaves have dropped a lot earlier this year than usual.

You'll get snow and frost.

Most of us grew up with snow and frost as an irritating thing. It seems strange to talk to someone that thinks it's a novelty.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:44, Reply)
I think it looks beautiful in pictures.

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:45, Reply)
Try walking on it.
And it's not as bad here as in many other Northern countries.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:47, Reply)
I'll probably fall on my arse.

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:47, Reply)
You probably will.
This happens. You'll laugh the first couple of times, then you'll get pissed off.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:49, Reply)
ahaha I dunno, i'd only get pissed off if I broke something.

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:51, Reply)
I still think snow is a novelty
even after cycling to work in a foot of it earlier this year. I bloody love snow.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 0:49, Reply)
Then you're some sort of maniac
My last Sunday morning in my old job, I booked on at 05.00 and it was -11.

I had to go across the yard on my hands and knees to open the office and if I didn't own a 4x4 I wouldn't have got there.
