Who was the girl, and why did you leave?

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:14, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
She's a drama queen
I didn't want to go because she attaches herself to me and is just inappropriate in her conversation topics
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:15, Reply)
I'm dreadful with being inappropriate.
Ooh, I've found a pattern I could use/adapt for my stuffed toy. If the first one goes well I'll make ones out of old dresses. Or a meta-bird out of this bird print fabric I have.

Not that sort of inappropriate :p
she doesn't know the borders between my role as a peer supporter where I can listen and help her in the appropriate situation, and my role as a 'getting drunk at the pub person'

This is why I'll never be a peer supporter
Than and my general response being MTFU, and the fact that I have enough shit of my own to deal with without having to listen to other peoples atm.

Peer supporter?
Where did that come from?
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:26, Reply)
it's a program at our university
where after a few months training you can support other students when they need help in personal and/or work matters

Oh, that's ok.
I imagined it was a new way of saying friend, that I had missed out on.

I do have an urge to punch the person who named it though.

describes it pretty well
we're not as trained as the university counsellors, but we're a good backup system

In my world, a peer supporter is someone who upset the the Kray twins.

This is an excellent answer!
