Someone please start a conversation not about clothes
Otherwise I may actually have to do some work tonight...

Does my bum look big in this thread?

It's Ok, I've got a widescreen.

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:09, Reply)
both of those posts made me laugh

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:09, Reply)
So that's a yes then?

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:10, Reply)
It's all comparative.
I don't want to unleash the pandatron by saying no.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:18, Reply)
Give me your opinion
on the Armand Basi jumper.

Just joking. Don't do work- it's a Saturday. The only reason I'm back from the pub disgracefully early is because of the girl who invited herself along

Got a load to do
One sheet due monday (morning), one weds, one thurs, and I have labs the entirety of monday and tuesday, and am busy tuesday night, so don't have a huge amount of time to do it all in :S

For now, though, b3ta and minecraft

Who was the girl, and why did you leave?

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:14, Reply)
She's a drama queen
I didn't want to go because she attaches herself to me and is just inappropriate in her conversation topics
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:15, Reply)
I'm dreadful with being inappropriate.
Ooh, I've found a pattern I could use/adapt for my stuffed toy. If the first one goes well I'll make ones out of old dresses. Or a meta-bird out of this bird print fabric I have.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:18, Reply)
Not that sort of inappropriate :p
she doesn't know the borders between my role as a peer supporter where I can listen and help her in the appropriate situation, and my role as a 'getting drunk at the pub person'
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:21, Reply)
This is why I'll never be a peer supporter
Than and my general response being MTFU, and the fact that I have enough shit of my own to deal with without having to listen to other peoples atm.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:23, Reply)
Peer supporter?
Where did that come from?
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:26, Reply)
it's a program at our university
where after a few months training you can support other students when they need help in personal and/or work matters
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:27, Reply)
Oh, that's ok.
I imagined it was a new way of saying friend, that I had missed out on.

I do have an urge to punch the person who named it though.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:30, Reply)
describes it pretty well
we're not as trained as the university counsellors, but we're a good backup system
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:32, Reply)
In my world, a peer supporter is someone who upset the the Kray twins.

(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 22:35, Reply)
This is an excellent answer!

Anyone still about?
One of my problems is now sorted, managed to get the practical instructions for monday (the passwords had done their yearly reset, so couldnt get at them myself :S). I get to use a very funky bit of kit (an atomic force microscope), to look at red blood cells and DNA :D

Now just need a house for next year and to no longer be a hopeless romantic (hopeless in both senses), and I'm sorted.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 23:22, Reply)
i'm just about here
mostly being hopeless
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 23:42, Reply)
So I've just watched the boxing
And been sexually harrassed by a man called felix who was off his tots on MDMA.
(, Sat 13 Nov 2010, 23:32, Reply)
