Re: Crazy in Love
The Puppini Sisters' version is one of those rare occasions in which a cover is far better than the original.

I like Jose whatevers cover of Heartbeats more than the original

NO!
The original is a masterpiece. I like bleepy music.

It's a good song IMO musically.
Though with this playlist I guess I shouldn't really be talking about what is and isn't good musically.

I used to have a tracklist of my favourite covers, and there are several which surpass the original, but I'm buggered if any come to mind. The Soulwax Most Of Remix of Muscle Museum is even better than the original, if I think of remixes.

Best cover of all time is Wuthering Heights by China Drum.

My vote is 'Do you think I'm sexy?' by The Revolting Cocks.

Stand By Your Man by Amanda Palmer is excellent.

The Motorhead version of that is quite good,
as is The Sisters of Mercy's 'Jolene'.

The Sister's 'Gimme Shelter' is terrible.

Turisas' cover of Rasputin is entertaining.

(, Tue 23 Nov 2010, 13:18, Reply)
It's actually 'All Along The Watchtower'

Brian Ferry version?

(, Tue 23 Nov 2010, 13:04, Reply)
Obviously he is referring to U2, Pearl Jam or Neil Young.
