have you tried it anywhere else?
sometimes it's their computer system. i have been walking around with stupid amounts of cash in my bank account for months (it's not mine, it's for a lease extension, oxford fees etc) and even though i had nearly £100k in there, i got declined for some pikey £2.57 sandwich in boots!

You've probably got a lifestyle card and it refused to allow you to buy a sandwich from Boots.

Fraud squad picked up on activity relating to travel agents, froze the card and sent me a new one. Quite glad they noticed!
