I can't be arsed to hang around for the rest of the afternoon

Are you an owl?

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 12:47, Reply)
only slightly

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 12:54, Reply)
I'm intrigued now.
Which part of you is owlish?
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:02, Reply)
He's a twit but not a twoo

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:11, Reply)
very good
I can do a convincing owl impression with my mouth and hands (the sound, rather than the look or behaviour)
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:12, Reply)
Did you find a flat now?

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 12:47, Reply)
got a room in a massive house in the country
with its own indoor pool

move in next week
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 12:54, Reply)
Great!
Sounds really good. I'm sure you'll be a lot happier there than in a a B&B. For how long do you need to be there?
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 12:58, Reply)
yeah, I'm sick of the B&B already
and of eating at restaurants and pubs.

Contracted till the end of March, but the client wants me to be here longer. I'm going to fight that as much as possible.

Can't you move your wife with you?
or is she working as well?
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:08, Reply)
it's only 2 nights a week
also, she's not yet my wife ;-)

more than that though, it's a really fucking dull place to be. The reason I live in Exeter is because I love it there and have a lot of good friends down there. Wouldn't want my other half to have to leave that as well.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:09, Reply)
But almost!
2 nights a week is not so bad. Once you're in a house with TV and you can cook yourself, it'll go like flying. You can use that time for things like reading or doing those things you like and she doesn't fancy so much.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:17, Reply)
yeah
I've got to do some work towards my chartership and it is a prime opportunity for that.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:20, Reply)
Are you able to put dinners etc on expenses?

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:08, Reply)
yeah, to the tune of £13.50 a day
I've wangled full board at the place I'm going to be staying though, included in the rent, so that money will be mostly going in my pocket.

I'm kind of bored with eating out as well. And, it's already been detrimental to my waistline
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:10, Reply)
I've really piled it on since not being single.
Constant dinners and less MDs are making me feel well bloated and I don't like it.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:16, Reply)
Aw! it's good to know you're settled and stuff.

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:17, Reply)
It's playing havoc with my raping schedule , I tell you.
I'm running out of plausible excuses.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:22, Reply)
just get some rophynol
and a variety of disguises for her to wear and you don't even need to leave the house
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:24, Reply)
Good thinking, particularly if it's a cold winter.
Those parks get bloody freezing, even when you are hiding in the bushes with a hammer.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:29, Reply)
no amount of Sutcliffe jumpers can keep that chill out

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:33, Reply)
Don't I know it.

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:37, Reply)
You'll have to find another hobby.
Something that gets you out of the house but that you can share with the girlfriend.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:25, Reply)
She might help out, Hindley-style

*ponders*
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:27, Reply)
hahaha

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:31, Reply)
I'm pleased the new place has a pool
so I can further slim down and improve my surfing fitness.

I went to the local leisure centre pool last night and while a nice pool it was so busy that a fight almost broke out. Seriously. (I was not involved)
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:17, Reply)
I love swimming but hate other swimmers getting in the way.

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:20, Reply)
indeed
so it'll be nice having a pool to myself
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:21, Reply)

(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:34, Reply)
It's so weird
to imagine you not single... but I'm very happy for you.
(, Wed 24 Nov 2010, 13:19, Reply)
It's fucking weird for me too.
