Not watched as such, but I recently tried to read a book of short stories by Kafka that I gave up on 4 years ago
I gave up again.

I didn't even get to "The Metamorphosis"
I have plodded through some pretty dire books in my time (e.g. The Cloud Atlas), but where is the enjoyment in reading Kafka?
(, Thu 25 Nov 2010, 14:18, Reply)
I like Kafka myself

(, Thu 25 Nov 2010, 14:19, Reply)
Lots of people do
i'm probably not bright enough to understand the hidden depths or wotnot

^This
But I gave it my best shot.
(, Thu 25 Nov 2010, 14:22, Reply)
It's less about hidden depths
and more about taking him as a whole. Each of the stories makes perfect dark sense if you envisage it within a world of Kafka's creation, rather than within our own beliefs and world

I've often taken men as a whole.
Still can't fathom the buggers out.
