Oh man ! You go to that half-price-after-5 place? That's where I go for lunch most days.
I'd totally consider living in this area when I next go to move.

You TOLD me to got here :D
I dutifully went and was blown away.

Yup, but the one next door, Abukado is great too, so wasn't sure what one =)
If that place was local to where I live, I'd be a hell of a lot bigger than I am now.

Their 'dry curry rice' with 'chicken teryakki' is lush. And their Katsu Curry is too.

I had a great katsu curry from Greenwich market

Greenwich market also does good sushi and Japanese and other cultures food
if you ever have cause to go there.

Good value too.

Greenwich market is rather good.

(, Fri 26 Nov 2010, 13:08, Reply)
it is
after having spent a long weekend in Cardiff and London, I have realised just how shit the food situation is in Exeter.

We badly need a market like that, and some more multi-cultural stuff.

Cardiff indoor market is amazing for some things. Best fish counter I've ever seen.

I wasn't aware of that.
I have quite a lot of business in Cardiff so there must be a few quid bobbing about...

it's improved a lot since I left uni
they've knocked down a load of the old crappy city centre and built a fucking huge great shopping complex with loads of eateries and stuff.

the market is an old one, and mostly full of shit, but they do great bread and cheese and particularly fish.

It's the 'Gavin Henson effect'

(, Fri 26 Nov 2010, 13:31, Reply)
Really? I used to go there about ten years ago
there was an indoor market near to the Civic Centre place (whose name I momentarily forget, St Martin's, or something). Where'd they put the new one?
(, Fri 26 Nov 2010, 13:35, Reply)
the market is in the same place as it was 10 years ago
go about halfway down St Mary's street.

Other entrance is on The Hayes.

The new shopping centre is next to the CIA and the Vue cinema. They knocked down a load of the old St David's Centre
(, Fri 26 Nov 2010, 13:37, Reply)
St David, that's it.
Saw Jools Holland there. The stumpy little prick.

If I'm ever in Cardiff again, and I shan't be going out of my way to do so, I'll have to have a look.

Oh, by the way
how did that development they were building by the waterfront turn out? There used to be quite a nice little vodka bar down that way, which we'd go to when we were feeling pretentious.
(, Fri 26 Nov 2010, 13:42, Reply)
fuck knows
I didn't have any money so never went down to the bay
