Went to boot up my work laptop to find that it won't accept my username and password. Says to check domain but the usual dropdown that lets you select the domain, or tell it to boot on its own isn't there, even when you click the options button.
Not back in my office until Thursday, don't need the computer at work for the next few days, but it will leave me without one when I'm stuck away from home for the next few nights.
Anyone got any suggestions about how I can get access to it?

safe mode and command prompt all take me to the logon box
tried all the usual default passwords and they don't work, unsurprisingly.
tried prefixing my login with the appropriate domain for the work network as well and that doesn't work either.
It's going to have to wait till tomorrow to sort out now, but if you have any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Open a bottle of wine, kick back and listen to some tunes?

I seem to remember some that resort to the default if there's no ethernet cable plugged in.

You can pres ctrl+alt+del twice to get a standard login screen; useful for logging in as admin instead of picking from list of standard users; you may be able to manually input the domain on this screen.
