*starts the morning shift*
Gilbert's not back yet : (

If he has carked it then he's had a good innings so it's not too bad but I would have liked to see his little fat face once more to say my goodbyes.

No question. Just comments.

harsh
one of the reasons I'm glad I have a dog. you always know where your dog is.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 8:33, Reply)
He has disappeared for a day or two before but not in this bad weather.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 8:36, Reply)
he's probably fine, then.
he is, after all, wearing a full-length fur coat.

Not strictly true
Mine has done a runner twice - once whilst being exercised by a friend - she was out overnight and found her way home from 8 miles away. My ex was recuperating after a leg op and I was working and we thought getting someone to walk her would work - never again.
2nd time was just in September - had gone to visit my gran over 200 miles away and ex was supposed to be looking after her - he left her with his elderly parents and she bolted out of the front door, managed to cross a very busy main road and was found the next morning by a lovely couple in Berkhamsted, some 8 miles away from where she was staying. The ex lives on a boat and so she seems to head for familiar places along the canal - glad she went the way she did, wouldn't have fancied her chances in Watford! On both occasions she was trying to get home....

Woooooooooo! were back.

I think this is the first post back too!
If you get another cat, are you going to call him Gilbert?
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:23, Reply)
I shan't be getting any more pets for a while.
I'd like a small dog though.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:25, Reply)
Dogs are superior to cats, that is a fact.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I thought women in your situation liked keeping cats
Hundreds of them, some dead, some barely alive
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:28, Reply)
Not since the last court case.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:31, Reply)
small dogs FTW
especially staffies. too many of them in rescues at the the moment.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:31, Reply)
I'm not really a dog fan but small dogs are OK.
I've warmed to them more since my parents got two Jack russels.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:32, Reply)
My dad got my stepmum two miniature pinschers to use as baby substitutes
Fucking awful little yappy things. Ugh.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:35, Reply)
My parents dogs aren't really yappy.
They are funny, clever and full of win.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:36, Reply)
Proper dogs are awesome
We had a Black Labrador for years, fucking loved that dog.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:37, Reply)
That's ok then
But I still prefer cats.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:38, Reply)
if you're very unlucky
I might post up pictures of mine.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:37, Reply)
Please do.
We like pet pics on here.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:38, Reply)
There are no pictures of my dog
Only my Stepmum's, and he was ginger. :-(

And such a lovely colour.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:48, Reply)
she's just come back from the vet in that picture
and is feeling a bit under the weather. It's about the only time she stays still long enough to take a picture
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:53, Reply)
My cat ran away
two and a half weeks ago :(
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:26, Reply)
Still no sign?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:27, Reply)
Well no
Unless you count the false alarm yesterday. Which I don't.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:28, Reply)
Oh dear : (
Daft little buggers aren't they. You'd think they'd wait till the summer to run away.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:28, Reply)
Yeah but my cat had more than a touch of the retarded about her

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:28, Reply)
Unlucky. Hope he comes back.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I see your English hasn't improved while I've been away.

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:29, Reply)
Woo Clenders : )
Will I be seeing you at the weekend?
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:30, Reply)
Yes, you bloody will.
It's going to be fun.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:30, Reply)

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:30, Reply)
Are you wearing your new dress?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:31, Reply)
hell yeah
It's possibly a bit too fancy but I don't care
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:32, Reply)
I doubt that it's too fancy : )

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:33, Reply)
It won't be.
You're just used to dressing in jeans, that's all.
I am very excited indeed.
Luis said he stayed in an apartment with the same company in Bath and it was really nice.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:34, Reply)
^this
I've got a nice tunic to wear with Jeans and I'll feel overdressed.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:39, Reply)
It was an amazing idea of mine to book an apartment for the weekend

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:59, Reply)
It has slacked off a little.
I've just been having such a MASSIVE PARTY celebrating your absence that standards of punctuation have inevitably dipped somewhat.
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:34, Reply)
It's a shame you can't multi-task,
but then what can one expect from a drug-addled, soppy man such as yourself?
(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:36, Reply)
Incontinence?

(, Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:37, Reply)
Hahaha!
