This is a question Ouch!

A friend was once given a biopsy by a sleep-deprived junior doctor.
They needed a sample of his colon, so inserted the long bendy jaws-on-the-end thingy, located the suspect area and... he shot through the ceiling. Doctor had forgotten to administer any anaesthetic.

What was your ouchiest moment?

All four wisdom teeth extracted under GA
Including one of them smashed into 4 pieces with a chisel by the surgeon and followed by dry sockets in both sides of the lower jaw.

Ouch really does not come close.

If any of you ever has to get it done - for fuck's sake read this:

Sadly I had my experience before this post existed. It is frighteningly accurate. The Carrot knows his stuff (thanks mate).

Had my 2 lower ones removed
under a local anawhatsitsface. Hurt like Billy-o, but as any fillings etc i'd had done over the years I assumed it was the norm. Only after having a slurred chat with the dentist afterwards did i discover that i was resistant to the injectiony stuff and actually needed twice the quantity or even ( please tell me i'm wrong) ketamine. So yeh, just to confirm, Wisdom tooth removal really fucking hurts.

Ive had three of mine out (local) - can't see what the fuss is about. Had a dry socket on one and yeah, that one was a bit nasty, but the other two weren't that bad. I think the most painful part was the injection in the roof of my mouth - that hurt for a week afterwards.

I think it all depends
On the configuration or your jaw, and on how much physical force they have to exert (chisel ffs!).

They had to make incisions into my gums on the bottom two to even reach the teeth as they were growing at 90 degrees to the other teeth from round the corner under the surface of the gum. Consequently mine were pretty painful for a couple of weeks. Sounds like you were a little luckier than me so well done for that.

...later
I had my two right ones taken out. Not too bad, but my jaw felt like it was seized up for ages afterwards - opening my mouth any distance was quite painful. A few days after the op, I was playing air-hockey with a mate, and scored a goal. Without thinking I cheered - "YAYYyyAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!"
