I'm a Grammar Nazi. I constantly feel the urge to correct grammatically bad shop signs with red pen.
At work, we received a letter that was so bad, it would have been better written by monkeys. I practically had to be restrained from sending it back with corrections.
I've noticed that there are a lot of Grammar Nazis on B3ta.... perhaps we should organise some sort of meet?

There are also an alarmingly large number of people who think that grammar is unimportant, and that people who selflessly point out errors in grammar and spelling are nasty! I don't understand it. We're only trying to help those whose education obviously isn't up to scratch...

stop picking on the poor little illiterate fuckwit. They clearly don't know any better. And you're clearly being so rude, didn't your mother tell you that?

...I found this site: Rude Stamps
These people aren't just illiterate: they're selling their illiteracy to others. To be used with indelible ink.
MORONS.

Friends of mine were once unlucky enough to live next door to very a 'sensitive' family, the wife of whom would seemingly collapse in a fit of the vapours whenever there was the slightest noise from next door.
One day the Sensitive Family put a letter through my friends' letter box, detailing how their health was failing from all the noise, etc, etc. It was incredibly poorly written, so they found a red pen, corrected all the spelling and grammar mistakes and finished by marking it 6/10 "for effort" before popping it back next door.
That was the last time they received any complaints (and they, the friends, moved out soon after anyway.)
Very satisfying indeed.
