This is a question Presents

What are you buying your loved ones this Christmas? We're looking for inspiration and reckon a big share-a-thon of ideas will help everyone buy better gifts this year.

BTW: If your family reads B3ta and you're worried about giving the game away then tell us what you bought last Christmas.

Bugger!
Should of seen that coming, give it 4 years or so and she'll look like the most expensive Chav ever! Mr T has a lot to answer for!

I suggest
a balcony and a croissant.

How about the love of a good husband?
Pfft! Just messing, the abstract notion of love is worthless...WORTHLESS. You're going to have to buy her a car.

Oh no...
I made this mistake with my partner.

Each yet I tried to top the one before. Once I'd hit the £1000 mark there isn't much you can buy that isn't really a major investment.

I eventually got her a nice shiny new 4x4 for towing the horse box.
That well and truly stuffed me up for last year. I ended up proposing instead, and we got married in July.

With hindsight, another car would have been a LOT cheaper!

a holiday or weekend away
Its a nice thought, probably cheaper than some jewellery and you can go too!

so far..
I like this best! Weekend away it might very well be!

Well Enzyme has also hit the spot very well, she likes all things French, and would love a balcony, the only issue would be next year i would have to buy sunny weather so she could use it....

Thanks all!

If you want cheap
Take her to Bath. Good pubs, friendly town and the women LOVE all that pampering spa shit!

Good advice..
Thank you my new friend for showing me the light, i will ensure i dont make the same mistakes!

Get her
A fuck-off bunch of flowers from a wicked florist (if you are in London I can recommend Bursting Buds in Holland Park), and a bottle of Champers. Sorted.

I assume there is a nice big thumb print on your forehead?
Why is it a constant job to buy her something bigger and better? Just buy her something nice and from the heart.

Sounds cheesy, but it is true. Women love that shit. Sentimental crap FTW!

Build a time machine
and then go back to the start of your relationship and get her much lower expectations.

Immense penis implant?
I mean for you, not her.

...I suppose she could have one afterwards.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 16:38, closed)
She is too
high maintenance.
Get a new one.

I feel your pain...
Beating the blue box is hard, but can be done, you just have to get clever.
I trumped Tiffany with a voucher for a year's worth of manicures.
The missus utterly loved it AND it was cheaper, it keeps the house free of that God-awful paint stench and she gets pampered every couple of weeks while I go to the pub.
Result!
Alternatively, buy her a herd of goats from Oxfam for a family in Shoreditch (or whichever third world hole they're servicing this year). Even if she hates it there's no way she can actually complain without sounding like an uncaring bitch.

probably doesn't beat it, but how about
a jewellery box?
