The point being, what that copper said was bang out of order, and plus I had a witness. She may have only been 10, she might not have understood what that bad word the copper used meant, but she remembered it.

Because when I got home the whole story got relayed to her parents in graphic detail... "Mummy, this bad policeman called RabidRodent a 'paedo' so he beat him up, what does that word mean?"
