Old hard drive platters make wonderfully good drinks coasters - they look dead smart and expensive and you've stopped people reading your old data into the bargain.
Have you taped all your remotes together, peep-show-style? Have you wired your doorbell to the toilet? What enterprising DIY have you done with technology?
Extra points for using sellotape rather than solder.

I made this for my girlfriend:

but she left it at mine and we've split up now. My plan is to wait til I've met someone new then after a few months give it to her pretending I've just made it :) I'm well crafty.

They most likely only do blow up girlfriends on ebay :(
and I doubt she'd be able to carry such a bag,
fillipa hole has a slight frame and isnt very strong.

Get a 4xAA holder and a 5v regulator. Stick 'em together, hook it up to a USB socket, or mini-USB cable, and let her keep her phone charged while it's in her bag.
Also, replace the back panel and any side panels so it's smooth inside.
And add bluetooth. Everything's better with bluetooth.

well considering i remember seeing some twat try and tout his dumb idea of a smoothie maker - with USB connectivity on Dragons Den, I have reason to believe that not *everything* is better with bluetooth....
i could be wrong
and often am.

Get an A2DP headset and either hook up bigger speakers or just put the speakers behind the two round buttons. Then she can charge her phone and have it connected over bluetooth to speakers.
And a smoothie maker that was controllable over the Bluetooth serial port profile would be... well, pretty useless. But at least a bit more practical than fitting it with USB. I guess with a few sensors you could measure the mass of liquid you were drinking, the viscosity of it, the temperature of it, when you used it and for how long
You could set it up to be remotely controlled- keep it chilled in a refrigerated area all day, then when you come home your GPS enabled phone tells the mixer to turn on- so you've got a freshly made smoothie- without any lumps or separation caused by it being sat for too long.
So on its own it'd be crap. But as part of a "smart-home" system it could be very very good.

I thought the cartidge flap might be a bit small, otherwise it would make a good satchel.
