The EU
Why not have a question about the EU referendum? asks Spanishfly. Rather than something you have done or experienced. Let's hear how you think leaving the EU will affect you.

I'm looking forward to not having to treat so many continental Europeans.
These are often people coming from countries where they are encouraged to go straight to hospital specialists and undergo expensive investigations and treatment because they're paying for it. This leads to hugely frustrating consultations where I have to explain what a GP is (usually without an interpreter to people with limited understanding of english), reassure them that I can make the majority of diagnoses without having to refer them for an expensive hospital appointment or MRI scan and convince them that the generic tablet I prescribe should work just as well as their expensive branded medication (after having to trawl Google to discover what the English equivalents of the tablets they are taking are). They are not used to NHS restrictions on prescribing, investigations and referrals, without which the whole system would be unaffordable.
They naturally want as much as they can get because it's free and although the NHS is supposed to claim back the cost of treating these patients it is pretty rubbish at doing so compared to other countries.

The NHS is utterly hopeless at claiming back costs from overseas.
Still, better they occupy your (relatively cheap) time than just rocking up to A&E.

You really haven't thought it through
You just have to convey to your continental patients without actually saying it that a discrete bag of cash would make their dreams come true.

Well as long as it makes your job slightly easier....
it suddenly seems worth it.
